TAKE THE MOMENT …WHATEVER IT TAKES
I first got involved in photography in 2005 and since then I have kept on evolving my techniques and knowledge, through a series of valuable experiences, by visiting several places on the planet like the Arctic, Africa, Asia, America, and Europe, capturing impressive sights with a different perspective.
Nature photography is love, passion, exploration, adventure, and creation. I always look for dramatic action and I feel alive in every sense when I experience the greatness of natural elements. I live my life traveling to every possible destination, searching for days on end for instantaneous, breathless scenes.
WILDLIFE, LANDSCAPE, AND TRIBES COMPOSE MY WORK!
The key behind great photography is hidden in the huge variety of landscapes, wildlife, and cultures as well as in the incredible wonders that emerge through the endless, magnificent power of nature. Photography is not only setting the limits of an instant shooting at the place of the main action, but also the printing and presentation in the gallery where nature comes to life in front of the public eye.
There, my feelings together with my lust for beauty create an indispensable bond with my guests.

Home Alone BY Lalith Ekanayake
Our Second Place Winner was submitted by
Lalith Ekanayake from Colombo, Sri Lanka
By profession I am a medical specialist but I have been in wildlife and nature photography for the past few decades, which is my passion, and travelled extensively in the world and have won numerous Gold Medals and awards in wildlife photography. I have published books along with photography exhibitions in wildlife photography and have been a frequent speaker and presenter in wildlife photography. I am recipient of EFIAP. To me there is nothing called “perfection” in any photography. Every click to me is an experience, the more I click the more I learn something new. Every win is a beginning for me. It’s an endless learning curve. I give equal importance to artistry as in story telling in my clicks. I love nature and I never get bored by staying in nature for long and try to capture/create what human eye cannot see, for which drone is an ideal adding to my photography gear. For me, wildlife photography is an ideal package of adventure, challenge, accomplishment, satisfaction, compete and rewarding. I believe 6 “P” in wildlife photography, Passion, Patience, Practice, Perseverance, Participation and Preserve (fauna & flora).
